If you’re planning an Ecuador destination wedding, you have your pick of stunning venues. From an eco-lodge in the Cloud Forest to an old-world hacienda in Cayambe, there’s something to suit every wedding style. As Ecuador wedding planners, we’ve been fortunate to work all over the country, from the coast to the Andes Mountains. We’ve compiled this list of the best wedding venues in Ecuador to inspire your event and streamline your planning journey!

Best Wedding Venues in Ecuador

Terrabambu Lodge: Mindo, Cloud Forest

The outdoor spaces at this Cloud Forest wedding venue are unparalleled! There’s space for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the lush forest, then a reception for 30-60 guests in the world-class restaurant. There are also onsite accommodations for up to 50 guests, with alternative lodging options nearby for the remainder of your group.

We love planning wedding weekends in Mindo because there are many unique location options for your welcome dinner, rehearsal, and morning-after brunch. Moreover, there’s no shortage of activities for your guests, including hiking, ziplining, bird-watching, or simply unwinding in the jacuzzi.

Kapari Natural Lodge & Spa: San Miguel de los Bancos, Cloud Forest

A beautiful lodge nestled in the Cloud Forest, Kapari is distinguished as one of the top wedding venues in Ecuador. There are several locations for an outdoor ceremony, including the Rio Blanco River area and the terrace with sweeping jungle views. There’s also a wedding reception area for up to 60 guests tucked away in the forest.

Kapari provides onsite catering for every event and is a flexible venue with room to bring your unique vision to life. While it’s a bit farther from Mindo than Terrabambu, it’s a special place that deserves a closer look for those envisioning a Cloud Forest wedding.

La Palma Polo Hotel: Puembo, Quito

If you’re after luxury and convenience, look no further than this iconic hotel! Located in the serene Puembo neighborhood just a short drive from Quito, La Palma is the perfect destination wedding venue. It has a large capacity, with options for a ceremony in the lush gardens and a reception in a modern glass space ready to be outfitted to your specific vision.

For your convenience, you and your guests may stay onsite in the spacious suites. However, for those on your guest list who exceed the hotel’s capacity, there are two nearby accommodations: Hotel Rincón de Puembo and San José de Puembo

Black Rabbit: Quito and Cuenca

This chic, moody cocktail bar has a unique atmosphere and two distinct locations in Quito and Cuenca. The onsite catering is delicious, and the bar is, of course, spectacular! The Quito location is best for an intimate wedding dinner, and there is also an option to host a small ceremony on the outdoor patio. The more spacious Cuenca location can accommodate mid-size weddings.

Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge: Cotopaxi National Park, Andean Highlands

This lodge is one of the smallest venues on our list, with a capacity for just 18 guests. However, it offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Perched on the slopes of the Sincholagua Volcano, the highest active volcano in the world, it’s a remote mountain paradise. The onsite team is easy to work with, and we can personalize every detail of your celebration to bring your exact vision to life. While this venue costs more than others, it’s worthwhile for those seeking a unique adventure experience.

Mashpi Lodge: Mashpi Natural Reserve, Cloud Forest

We’re calling all nature lovers with this venue! This lodge, nestled in the Mashpi Natural Reserve, offers a truly luxurious experience in a wild and remote location. The outdoor ceremony space is breathtaking, with panoramic views of the Cloud Forest and the sounds of chirping jungle birds. Did we mention it’s all just 60 miles northwest of Quito?

This venue can accommodate up to 50 guests, so it’s best for intimate to mid-size weddings. The food is delicious, and your guests can also enjoy guided jungle treks and a world-class eco-spa. With so many amenities and a secluded yet convenient location, it’s one of the most unique lodges in the world!

Cerro Lobo: La Rinconada, Pacific Coast

Cerro Lobo, a micro-hotel composed of seven bungalows, is our preferred venue on Ecuador’s Pacific Coast. We also recommend private villas for those who want a bigger wedding, but these don’t have websites. While Cerro Lobo has a small capacity, the view, accommodations, and food are world-class. We love planning a ceremony on the beach, where you and your guests will enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean on one side and lush green mountains on the other.

La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat: Yasuní National Park, Amazon Rainforest

Tucked on the shores of Lake Garzacocha, this luxury resort boasts jungle views in every direction. With a world-renowned spa and wellness center, it’s the perfect place for you and your guests to unwind. You’ll also enjoy chef-prepared cuisine and various guided activities, including canoe rides, hiking, star gazing, and bird watching.

Best for intimate weddings, the lodge requires a stay of at least three nights for every booking (for your entire party). We can make the weekend your own and even schedule specific activities, depending on the experience you want to have with your guests.

Sacha Lodge: Yasuní National Park, Amazon Rainforest

In the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, Sacha Lodge offers luxury accommodations with views of the surrounding jungle and black-water lake. The beautiful terrace is perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony! Moreover, the venue permits transporting all your florals and décor by boat so we can personalize the space. This venue is best for intimate weddings of up to 30 guests since staff also stay onsite.

San José Haciendas: Cayambe

This conveniently located venue is just a 45-minute drive from the Quito International Airport. We love the clean and modern hacienda that still has an old-world feel. The grounds are also beautiful, with lush flower gardens and mountain views. There are many location possibilities for an outdoor wedding, whether in the gardens or on the steps of the hacienda itself. There are also numerous nearby activities, including the Cayambe Volcano!

Galapagos Safari Camp: Galapagos Islands

This luxurious glamping venue boasts a unique location in the highlands of Santa Cruz. You'll enjoy excellent food and unparalleled service during your stay. And that's not to mention the spectacular island views! This venue also offers guided excursions into the Galapagos National Park so you can catch a glimpse of the incredible wildlife the island is known for. All in all, you're bound to have an unforgettable experience at Galapagos Safari Camp.

This boutique hotel has a gorgeous tropical theme, with light and airy décor reflecting the coastal surroundings. We love working with them to plan weddings! Their staff is easy to work with, and their onsite chef, Andre Obiol, helps us craft unique menus highlighting the best regional cuisine. This venue is easy to access, which is always a perk for couples planning a destination wedding. They also have a midsize capacity and can comfortably accommodate up to 50 guests.
